1. How did you first become interested in crafting?

-I have always been into making crafts and taking normal everyday things and making them fancier! My mom and nana always had me and my brother making crafts and different things when we were smaller!!

2. How many years have you been crafting?

-I have been sewing for just about two years now! My nana taught me the basics and I took it and ran from there. She has always made sewing look easy, and boy is it a little tougher than she makes it look!

3. How did you become a crafting dealer?

-As I started teaching myself to sew, I didn’t really intend to start a little side business, it just kind of happened! With a lot of trial and error that is! My first project was for Halloween. I appliquéd a ghost, out of quilt material, holding a bouquet of flowers and people loved it and started asking to buy them! That’s when I started to thrift and buy vintage quilts to make cute little appliqué and quilt hoodies out of!

I got so many people looking to buy tshirt and sweatshirts that I decided to make a Facebook and instagram page! Those pages are called EmmeLou’s creations! It is named after my miniature schnauzer name Emme Lou! She’s is getting me through all of my “firsts” in adulting! Shes my right hand dog when it comes to keeping me company while sewing and crafting! So hard work and tons of snacks come into play when she’s around! Hehe!

4. What is your favorite top 5 items to make?

-this is a hard one!! I can’t choose just 5! My favorite thing to make is a hoodie out of a beautiful old quilt! I just love it!

Another favorite is hand embroidery! I love the tediousness of it and love how it is messy at first but it all comes together at the end!

5. What state that you currently live in?

-I live in Johnson City, Tn!

6. Do you use your crafting products?

-of course!! Who doesn’t love a good, soft, warm hoodie or pull over to cuddle up in!!

7. What are the top 5 items that you are excited about bringing to The Bramble to sell?

⁃ I am mainly focusing on bringing the hoodies and some cute little pullovers!

⁃ Pyrex bowl tshirts! SO cute in my opinion!

⁃ Corningware keychains

⁃ Carhartt embroidered toboggans

8. Have you ever attended Unicoi County Apple Festival before? If so, what was your favorite part?

⁃ My husband grew up in Erwin and seems to know everyone in the town!! We have attended almost every year since we have been together… so a long time! I love it! Also!! You cannot leave without getting an apple pie or a jar of apple butter!!
