While shopping the Unicoi County Apple Festival you might be looking for that perfect Christmas or birthday gift and know that the receiver is not into crafts or vintage. You can find the perfect dress, jewelry or even a faith based t-shirt. Read how two sister-in-laws started their business and their love for fashion. Meet Sidney & Hope!

1. How did you first become interested in fashion?

Hope and I have loved to shop our entire lives. With two completely different styles, it truly has brought us together. I gravitate towards classic and timeless pieces, while Hope loves to experiment with bold colors and trendy items. Our shopping trips are always full of fun!

2. How many years have you been into fashion?

Fashion weaves stories and connections, creating bonds that last a lifetime. The moment two people share a love for style, it often leads to unforgettable memories and friendships. This was the case when meeting Hope, my sister-in-law and business partner. From the very first shopping trip and ice cream outing in 2021, a deep and lasting friendship blossomed, showcasing the power of fashion in bringing people together.

3. How did you become a clothing boutique owner?

Hope and I are both registered nurses, and one day after a long shift, she mentioned she was ready for something different. I said, ‘Why don’t we open a clothing boutique?’ In that moment, we both realized we wanted to create a space where we could combine our love for fashion, help women feel beautiful, and share our faith—all in one place!

4. What is your favorite top 5 products?

We’ve come across so many amazing pieces, but there are a few favorites we just couldn’t resist keeping for ourselves. Some of these must-haves include our faith-based Comfort Colors t-shirts, effortlessly flowy maxi dresses, the always-comfy Judy Blue jeans, adorable bow claw clips, and stylish trucker hats. These items perfectly reflect our style and the heart behind what we love to share with others.

5. What state that you currently live in? Also are there a lot of local crafters in your area?

We both live in beautiful Western North Carolina, and we’re so excited to be part of our very first pop-up event since opening in May! I was born and raised in Erwin. This region is rich with talented crafters and vibrant farmers markets, and we feel incredibly lucky to be joining such a creative and supportive community. We can’t wait to share our passion and products with everyone and connect with fellow makers and local shoppers.

6. Do you wear you line of clothing from your boutique?

Hope and I are always wearing pieces from Poppy and Mill—we truly can’t get enough! It’s even more special when we see our customers loving items we’ve personally chosen. To us, there’s no better compliment.

7. What are the top 5 items that you are excited about bringing to The Bramble to sell?

We’re so excited to hear what our customers think of our fall line! We’ve got tons of options, but the pieces featured in the photos below are some of our personal favorites. With sizes ranging from Small to 3XL, there’s something for everyone!

8. Have you ever attended Unicoi County Apple Festival before? If so, what was your favorite part?

Growing up in Erwin, I’ve attended the Unicoi County Apple Festival every year of my life, and it’s always been one of my family’s favorite traditions. I love exploring all the unique booths, and the food is always a highlight! There’s truly no better way to spend a fall weekend.
